The iconic 90s girl band Eternal is set for a revival with a new lineup, featuring singer Christel Lakhdar alongside original members Vernie and Easther Bennett. Louise Redknapp and Kelle Bryan, who were part of the original lineup, have moved on, paving the way for Lakhdar to join the group.

The new lineup is gearing up for a series of performances this year, marking their return to the stage after a decade-long hiatus. Kicking off on May 3 at the NEC in Birmingham, the group will also delight fans at the 90s Baby Festival in Manchester on July 20 and at Back2Back in Nottingham on August 24.

Expressing her excitement, Lakhdar shared with The Mirror, “I’ve been singing these songs since (I was) a young age and feel like pinching myself as I’m taking it all in.” Vernie echoed her sentiments, expressing confidence in Lakhdar’s talents and the synergy she brings to the group.

Easther, equally thrilled about the reunion, emphasized the importance of savoring the moment and hinted at the band’s eagerness to reconnect with fans through festival performances.

Eternal, known for their chart-topping hits like “I Wanna Be The Only One” with BeBe Winans, enjoyed immense success in the 1990s, with their debut album “Always & Forever” achieving platinum status. Despite lineup changes over the years, the group continued to captivate audiences with their soulful harmonies and memorable tracks.

Following Redknapp’s departure in 1995, the group transitioned into a trio and released their sophomore album “Power Of A Woman,” featuring standout singles like “I Am Blessed.” Bryan’s exit in 1998 led to the Bennett sisters carrying on as a duo until 2000.

While the group briefly reunited for the ITV2 documentary “The Big Reunion” in 2014, their upcoming performances mark a significant moment for fans eagerly awaiting their return to the spotlight.
