Located in the Wyre district of Lancashire, England, close to the Forest of Bowland, the hamlet and civil parish of Forton serves as a community. It lies close to the A6 highway, midway between Lancaster and Garstang. In 2011, its population was 1,213 according to the Census.
Forton Primary School is the only school in town, and there are also multiple churches and a single tavern (the New Holly).
