About Nether Kellet
Description of Nether kellet
Located a short distance south of Carnforth, Nether Kellet is a settlement and civil parish in the City of Lancaster in Lancashire, England. In 2001, its population was reported to be 646; by 2011, that number had risen to 663. The easternmost hamlet, Addington, is also part of the parish.
Wikisource-logo.svg is not far distant, off Dunald Mill Lane, but it is largely unknown outside of caving circles nowadays. Community
Only 53 of the Thankful Villages have been discovered so far, and Nether Kellet is one of them. All of the men from these towns and parishes who enlisted to fight in World War I in 1914–1918 survived the conflict. A total of 21 were dispatched from Nether Kellet. In comparison, their neighboring town of Arkholme, about 5 miles (8.0 km) to the east, sent 59 men, all of whom safely returned. It's incredible to believe that two small towns so close together could have avoided damage in a fire of that magnitude. Nether Kellet was doubly grateful because 16 of its citizens served in World War II during the years 1939-1945 and returned home safely.

Specifically, the village can be found to the south of Over Kellet, to the north of Halton, to the west of Aughton, and to the east of Bolton-le-Sands.
