id=\"_Economic_Impact\"><\/span>\u00a0Economic Impact<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A sustained investment programme of around <strong>\u00a334\u202fbillion in the UK electricity grid between 2026 and 2040<\/strong> could generate a <strong>total economic benefit of roughly \u00a3194\u202fbillion in Gross Value Added (GVA)<\/strong> \u2014 about <strong>four times the investment cost<\/strong>. Regulators have already warned about connection delays affecting renewables and data centre projects.
