Teenagers Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing of Boy in Bristol Park

Two 15-year-old boys have been detained on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old boy in a Bristol park.

According to police, the incident occurred on Wednesday when the victim was allegedly assaulted by two masked teenagers on bicycles at Rawnsley Park, Easton. Following the attack, the victim sought help from a motorist on Stapleton Road before collapsing on West Street, Old Market.

Authorities were alerted to the scene at 6 pm, where the victim, yet to be formally identified, was pronounced dead.

Supt Mark Runacres, Bristol Commander for Avon and Somerset Police, stated: “The team investigating yesterday’s incident are working around the clock to bring those responsible to justice.

“This evening, two 15-year-old boys were arrested in connection with the investigation and they have been taken to police custody where they will be questioned.

“Our collective thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones during what is undoubtedly a very difficult time.

“Specialist family liaison officers have been assigned to the family to provide them with support and keep them updated on the investigation.”
